17/03/26 Friend-buttons! Awesome!
My code has been de-span'd :(. Efficiency, I guess.
We have a title now!
Worked out how to get a background colour, and actually do a bit of css, which is really good. Hell yeah. Not sure I like it, but eh we'll probably fiddle around.

Okay, we've cycled through about six colours in the span of ten minutes. This'll to do, I think. But what if I made us purple...
Or yellow! Or green! I think I might make us green. But also red... ough I feel like the Other Mother right now. What about vermillion?? No. No, we need to pick something and stick with it. Green? Or red? Not both, too Christmassy. We could go yellow, that would be fun... oh this is so difficult :[

18/03/26 Things broke but I fixed them. Look at me go.
Trying to work out how to make a box half-width rather than full-width.
Oh yeah, we also know what a div is now :]
Okay, we might be committing to purple. Maybe. Or we could use general magpie themes, if we work out a gradient?

19/03/26: DAMMIT I THINK I JUST LOST MY TEXT. NO. FUCK.
On the bright side, I worked out how to do the 'friends' bit in a prettier way! I think?
I feel like I need to make things more readable, maybe. Does the font need to be bigger? More spaced? Should I give up Times New Roman for something with more whimsy?

20/03/26: So much progress is being made! We have a proper lists page, now! And it WORKS! All thanks to Ava :D
It looks so gooddddd! Now we just need things to add. OH and the link text is nicer, now, which is neat.

21/03/26: Man what the fuck, it's 1am and THIS is how we're spending our time?? CODING?? Who is this and what happened to Magpie?/silly
On that note, why have columns decided to stop working now that I tried to replicate it? I literally copied the code! You can't break now, I copy-pasted the code! That's not fair!
THIS MAKES NO SENSE. WHY DO YOU REFUSE TO WORK NOW? WHY NOW? WHAT IS THIS?
It is half past two. We need to be awake in six hours. Down side: I didn't fix the code. Bright side: I made it look like it's not broken, which I am choosing to view as a win.
I want to work out how to add images to this place. Hmmmmmm.

23/03/26: I'm going to cry about this fucking guestbook.
I did manage to fix some bits, though. Changed the title, which is good, but it still looks a bit janky. Need to work out how to add "and tears" to that "lovingly made with Guestbooks" thing.

I don't understand how I'm fucking up the shelf. It keeps repeating the background in tiny little lines that almost hurt to look at, and there doesn't seem to be any clear reason for it whatsoever. Perhaps I just need them to take up more space, now? I suppose that is the only answer I can think of, although it seems a little foolish.
It seems that that did, in fact, fix the problem! Wonderful, that's progress. We're making progress.

26/03/26: the gap in dates would suggest that I took a break. I did not. I simply had a minor identity crisis (ongoing) and forgot to write down the specific way in which I further autism'd about this website in that time.
Anyway, we have splashtext now! And it works! And it's in the right place! All thanks to Ava, who is incredibly awesome and computer-y and has an amazing guide on how to splashtext on its site!
Fiddling about with the layout of the homepage, now, because it feels too empty. I need more to put there...

27/03/26: Actually got the artblog up, now! Which I think is pretty fun. Spent a while trying to work out how to do images and resize things, but it all went well in the end.
Now, to spend the rest of this evening manically trying to shove bits of code together in just the right way to produce a Scrolling Text Thingy!
